The Luda 16-3 Oilfield CEPA Platform Expansion Project, a flagship initiative of CNOOC in the Bohai Bay, involves Tianmiao Company’s direct participation in the CEPA platform’s production separator system.

In oil and gas development projects, the production separator is the core equipment of oil and gas gathering, transportation and processing system. Its core function is to efficiently separate the “oil, gas and water three-phase mixture” produced at the wellhead, and provide qualified medium for subsequent crude oil transportation, natural gas utilization, oily sewage treatment and other links.

As part of the “New Key Equipment” initiative (1 tubular separator), the production separator is not an isolated project but directly serves the core objective of adjusting existing oil fields. Its significance can be categorized into three dimensions: technical support, economic value, and environmental compliance. Technical support: Ensuring effective production capacity release from adjustment wells. Economic value: Reducing development costs and extending economic lifespan of mature oil fields. Environmental compliance: Meeting environmental requirements for offshore oil and gas development.

In the comprehensive adjustment project of Lüda Oilfield, the production separator’s technical advantages directly determine the effectiveness of adjustment well potential tapping, while its operational performance directly impacts the project’s economic returns and environmental compliance. This provides replicable equipment selection and application experience for quality improvement and efficiency enhancement in China’s offshore mature oilfields, driving offshore oil and gas development toward more efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly directions.
