The tubular reactor is a continuous reactor with a long diameter ratio.
The tube reactor is a type of plug flow reactor. The reactants enter from one end and flow in plug flow inside the tube, that is, the residence time of the reactants in the reactor is equal, and the concentration of the reactants and the reaction rate at any point in the reactor do not change with time, but only with the tube length.
The tube reactor is suitable for both liquid phase reaction and gas phase reaction. Because it can bear high pressure, it is also suitable for pressurized reaction. It can be used in strong exothermic reaction process. It is widely used in petrochemical industry, fine chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry and so on.
